Marlin Traeger is a twelve-year-old boy who is part fish, part boy, all sadness. Marlin's dad, a former F.A.L.C.O.N. scientist, modified his son with Kraken’s DNA. He was rescued by the Uncrackable Crawdad. He's tall, scaly, and has a big sail that gives him his name.
